The landscape at Baylys’ Farm allows us to cater for large or intimate events, and lends itself to compliment any style preference. Our dedicated beachfront marquee location has been crafted especially for weddings, and is privately set between New Zealand farm and coastland. Alternatively, our wool shed creates a great atmosphere for a rustic reception. As a BYO venue you can choose your own food, drink and vendors, allowing you to tailor the day exactly to your liking.
Weddings at Baylys’ Farm can be held across three main locations:
The Point: A naturally sloping hill-top site with uninterrupted views out to the Bay of Islands, The Point is an unforgettable backdrop for your ceremony. Located at The Beach.
The Beach: Situated right next to a private beach is our dedicated wedding venue location, inclusive of a 10 x 24m clear-span marquee. The space is yours to use and set-up as you wish. Ceremonies can also be held in this location.
The Wool Shed: Our Wool Shed is the perfect space for a rustic barn-style reception. The building seats up to 120 people, and has toilets, a small kitchen and power. The outdoor areas adjacent to the building are also perfect for cocktail hour or an outdoor dance floor.
OUR WEDDING PACKAGE
Our Wedding Package includes the use of Baylys’ Farm for your Ceremony and Reception. The Ceremony can be held anywhere on the farm, including ‘The Point’. For your Reception you have the choice of either the Beach under our Marquee, or in the Wool Shed (up to 120 guests). Our Wedding Package also includes:
– Wooden Bench Seats for the Ceremony – 10 x 24m Clear-Span Marquee at the Beach – Wooden Dining Tables & Cross-Back Dining Chairs – Wedding Venue Coordination Before and On Event Day – Use of Farm for Photography Requirements – Use of any Products in our Inventory List
When using the Wool Shed for the reception the Marquee is also available at the Beach as a wet-weather option for your ceremony, as well as for shade on hot days.

What is included in your package price?
Our package includes the exclusive use of the agreed sites for your ceremony and reception, wedding venue coordination, as well as any products in our Inventory List. We leave the rest up to you to shape exactly as you like, and are happy to help with outside vendor bookings.
How long are we allowed to use the venue for?
We allow you to arrive on the venue one day before the event to set-up, and one day after the event for rubbish removal, cleaning and pack-down. We allow one wedding per weekend, so you can rest assured that the venue will be all yours for the hire period.
Am I responsible for rubbish and hire equipment returns?
We provide large rubbish bins for waste and recycling. We do however ask that all rubbish is removed by you after the event, and can advise you on rubbish collection points in the area. All hire equipment must be removed as soon as possible, however we can arrange the drop-off for you (for a small fee) if required.
Can I bring my own food and alcohol?
We are a BYO venue, which means we allow you to organise your own food and alcohol for the event. We are able to recommend local caterers if required.
Do you have recommendations on local vendors?
Absolutely! Northland is full of talented wedding vendors who would love to work with you, and many of these vendors have worked on Baylys' Farm before. You can find our list of recommended vendors on the 'Local Vendors' page.
I want to have my event at The Beach, are there transport requirements?
It is a 10-minute drive across the farm to the Beach so we ask that you arrange bus transport for your guests. This means there is a safe transport option at the end of the event, and helps to maintain farm roads. Guests can be collected in central Paihia or Kerikeri, and dropped off right at The Beach. Buses are to be booked through Clarks Coaches.
What are your noise restrictions and event curfew?
Due to the nature of the farm we do not impose noise restrictions, therefore noise is permitted up until the 12pm curfew.
Can we use anywhere on the farm for our wedding photography?
Yes you can! We want to make sure you get the most out of the venue, therefore you are welcome to use anywhere on the farm for your photography. From rock walls, the jetty, farm fields, to private beaches, our venue is a photographers dream.
Do you have accommodation on the farm?
Unfortunately we do not have any accommodation on the farm. But we are a 10-minute drive from Paihia, a tourist hub which has ample amounts of accommodation for you and your guests at various price points.
I'm new to the area, where are you located?
We are located in Waitangi, next to the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park. The farm is 10-minutes drive from central Paihia, and a 30-minute drive from Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands Airport.
