“In New Zealand, we are spoilt for choice with wedding venues. But Baylys' Farm is a stand out venue. The VIEWS are phenomenal.
We had the most magical wedding at Baylys' Farm. Will and Melita were professional, attentive and went above and beyond in so many ways. They made us feel like we were the only couple getting married, they are the most genuinely lovely people who are interested in getting to know you as a couple.
We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue was. All the recommendations of vendors provided by Baylys' Farm were spot on. Again, lots of our guests commented on the commitment and fabulous work of our vendors.
We had the dreaded "R" word on our day, Will and Melita assisted with all the curveballs that came with this. We didn't even feel the stress of this, they had it all under control. And I must say, we got some amazing photos at the venue despite the weather!!
We are so pleased that we fell in love with Baylys' and it was our first pick for our wedding, no regrets at all. I cannot recommend enough”

“I can’t say enough positive things about Baylys’ Farm and the team! Getting married at Baylys’ Farm was an absolute dream. From the moment we first toured the property, the team was so on it and so incredibly helpful. Their pdf with all their recommended vendors was so useful. Planning a wedding can be incredibly overwhelming, but they gave me an easy starting point and direction. They were so accommodating to all of my visits with my friends and family through the year leading up to the wedding. Their communication was always so quick as well. I noticed and appreciated greatly how much time and effort they put into every wedding.
Setup the day before was so easy and smooth. On the day, everything was just fantastic. The team was absolutely amazing. Everything ran smoothly and we had the absolute best time. We both felt like we didn’t have to worry about anything, which is a great feeling on your wedding day! Baylys’ Farm is truly a magical venue, and the team are the icing on the cake.

“Melita and Will were amazing from the start! They are so down to earth and made us feel like nothing is too much to ask. We viewed the venue about 2 years out and had only seen one other place (but had many on the list) and as soon as we saw the ceremony point we were sold! Baylys’ Farm is such a stunning spot with views from every angle. It meant a lot to us to get married by the sea as we both have ties to the ocean. To share our love story with our nearest and dearest in such a picturesque spot was so special. There are so many great spots for photos and we loved that we didn’t have to leave the venue for photos as this meant more time to spend with our guests and enjoying our wedding!
Melita and Will made our wedding planning process so smooth from recommending vendors, budget spreadsheets, prompt responses and meeting us for set up. The highlight of our March 2024 wedding had to be having Baylys farm as our venue (besides marrying each other) which is saying a lot as we also had amazing vendors! “Best venue ever!!!! I couldn't recommend Baylys’ Farm enough.
The breathtaking views and location sell itself but for me it was Melita and Will which were the icing on the cake. They went out of their way to ensure you day ran smoothly and were always so responsive leading up to the day to help answer any questions you may have.
They send you a full novel with pages of information which helped me soo much in planning our special day. I didn't have to get a stylist or wedding planner because there was pretty much everything I needed to know/do in this document. Melita had so many ideas incase there was bad weather but we didn't need to worry as weather was perfect!
I could honestly not recommend this venue enough. x”

“We can't thank Mel and the team at Baylys' enough for allowing us to put together a truly unforgettable day! Right from the beginning, we knew we were in good hands with Mel's excellent communication and the Wedding Planning Guide which has all the information you need to plan a successful day.
We loved how we could put our own personal touches throughout, yet at the same time so many of the nitty gritty details were left to the professionals. This meant we didn't have to think about a whole heap of things (like furniture, power, lights, toilets etc) which other DIY venues don't provide.
The views are just stunning and we had so many comments from guests saying it was the best venue they'd ever seen. The walk up to the Point is so perfect - it's as if it was designed for a wedding ceremony. Plus there are so many places around the farm for photos meaning you don't have to go far at all and can be back with your guests within minutes!
Special shout out to Ben, the Baylys’ Event Manager, on the day. There were moments (and I'm sure there were more that I just didn't even notice) throughout the day where he went above and beyond to ensure it all went smoothly. For example, we had a water spill on the head table which left a large mark on one of the tablecloths. My husband and I went away for photos, came back and the tablecloths were rearranged and dry thanks to Ben's quick thinking.
I honestly think it would be hard to find a better wedding venue and team. Best day ever thanks guys!”

Baylys’ Farm speaks for itself, if you are looking for coastal charm located on one of the most beautiful historic farms in the Bay of Islands, then this is the venue for you. BUT - what truly sets this wedding venue apart from the others is Melita and Will. They put there hearts and souls into ensuring you are prepared for the big day and they provide you with everything you need to be set up for success.
When we first started planning we viewed quite a few potential venues, however they all lacked something, be it the service experienced on viewing or being underwhelming and oversold on the likes of instagram. So when we met with Melita at this point I didn't have my hopes up. Boy was I wrong, one meeting with Melita showing us around, answering my 101 questions was all we needed, we walked away feeling as if we had found "the one".
Come the big day, all communications up to this point were prompt, kind & considerate. Anything we needed I knew that they would of gone above and beyond for to ensure we could have the best day ever and that it was. I would re do our wedding day over and over again here at Baylys because it was everything we could of dreamed of. I cannot recommend them enough, you will not regret it! It will be what your dreams are made of! And to add to that, when you book with Baylys you receive a list of all the best vendors to work with and they make the planning process a breeze - if you're planning your big day, all the best!
